Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Roleset, a normalized, change-tracked index of job postings collected from official public applicant tracking system feeds, provided as an API. By creating an account, using an API key, or calling the API, you agree to them.
1. Who you are contracting with
Roleset is operated by Roleset.io ("we", "us"), registered in Israel. You can reach us at index@roleset.io.
Payments are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd as our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle, not us, is the seller of record for your purchase, handles billing and tax, and appears on your card statement. Their buyer terms apply to the payment itself alongside these terms.
2. What the service is
We crawl official, publicly accessible job board endpoints published by applicant tracking systems — currently Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee and Personio — and make the resulting records available through a REST API and an MCP server. We normalize those records into a single schema and record changes to them over time.
We are an index of publicly published information. We are not a job board, not an applicant tracking system, and not a party to any hiring process.
3. Your account and API keys
A free-tier key can be claimed directly from our website with no account and no payment details. Claiming one is your acceptance of these terms. Free keys carry no metered rate and are never billed; paid plans are arranged with us directly.
- An API key identifies your account. You are responsible for keeping it secret and for all use made of it, whether or not you authorised that use.
- Tell us promptly at index@roleset.io if a key is exposed and we will revoke and replace it.
- We store only a cryptographic hash of your key. If you lose it we cannot recover it; we issue a new one.
- Keys are for your organisation. Do not share one across organisations or resell access to it.
4. Plans, usage and billing
Each paid plan includes a number of records per calendar month. Records served beyond that allowance are billed at the plan's metered rate per 1,000 records, in arrears, on your next invoice.
You will not be billed for metered usage unless you have agreed to it. We record your agreement to the metered rate, and our billing will not charge overage for an account that has not given it.
We email you when you reach 80% and 100% of the records included in your plan, so you are never surprised by an overage charge. Exceeding your allowance does not interrupt your service.
- A "record" is one job posting or one change event returned to you by the API.
Free endpoints (
/v1/stats,/v1/schema) are not counted. - Usage is measured by us and reported to you through the API and in your invoices. Our usage records are the basis for billing.
- Plans renew monthly until cancelled. You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period; metered usage already incurred remains payable.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. Continued use after the change takes effect is acceptance of the new price.
- Each account has a monthly ceiling above which requests are refused. This is a guard against runaway automation, not a paywall, and we will raise it on request.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- resell, redistribute or sublicense bulk exports of the index as a competing dataset or data product. Using the data inside your own product or service is exactly what it is for;
- attempt to circumvent rate limits, usage ceilings or authentication;
- use the API to send unsolicited communications to any person, or in any way that breaches applicable law;
- represent the data as your own original collection, or misrepresent its freshness or completeness to your own users.
We may suspend an account that materially breaches this section. Where the breach is not deliberate we will contact you first.
6. What we do and do not promise about the data
The index is assembled from third-party feeds we do not control. We publish what those feeds publish.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not offer a contractual uptime commitment. If we introduce one, it will be stated here.
7. Personal data
The index deliberately contains no personal data. We index companies and roles, not people. Person-shaped fields are discarded when a feed is parsed, and email addresses and telephone numbers are removed from job descriptions before anything is stored. See our Privacy Policy.
You must not use the API in an attempt to identify, profile or contact any individual.
8. Intellectual property
Individual job postings are the material of the companies that published them. What we license to you is the compiled, normalized and change-tracked index we build from them, together with our software and documentation.
Subject to these terms and while your account is in good standing, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the data returned to you within your own products and services, including displaying it to your own users and storing it for that purpose.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for non-payment, for a material breach of section 5, or where required by law. On termination your API keys stop working; usage already incurred remains payable, and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business, or for decisions taken on the basis of the data — including recruitment, investment or commercial decisions. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Where you deal with us as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to the address on your account at least 30 days before they take effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
